Troubleshooting API Connections
Common Issues:
Invalid API Key
Double-check your API key input. Go to your exchange, create a new API key, and copy-paste it into the API Key Input Field.
Insufficient Permissions
Ensure that your API key has the necessary permissions (trading, reading balance, etc.). For Binance, BingX, or OKX, review their permissions documentation, available in our API Permissions Guide.
Exchange Downtime
Sometimes exchanges undergo maintenance. If you’re experiencing connection issues, visit FXonbit Status Page or check the exchange’s official site for updates.
How to Backtest Your Strategy
1. Create Your Strategy
Build your trading strategy by selecting filters and conditions in the Strategy Builder. Use indicators such as moving averages, RSI, or candlestick patterns.
2. Set Timeframe and Historical Data
Choose the timeframe for backtesting (e.g., 1 hour, 4 hours, daily). Select the historical data period you want to test on, going back weeks or months.
3. Analyze the Results
Once the backtest is complete, review the performance in the Backtest Reports section. Analyze the profit and loss, hit rate, and risk-reward ratios. Use this data to tweak your strategy for better performance.
Using Pre-Built Filters and Robots
Browse Ready-Made Filters
Navigate to the Filter Library to view a collection of pre-built filters. Each filter has been designed by expert traders and is categorized by trading strategy (e.g., bullish, bearish, swing trading).
Customize a Filter
Select a pre-made filter and customize it by adding or removing indicators or changing timeframes. Once you’re satisfied with the settings, save it to your profile and use it to create an automated robot.
Deploy Pre-Made Robots
Visit the Robot Marketplace to find robots created by other users. You can either rent a robot or tweak one to match your trading goals. Detailed performance reports are available for each robot.
Guide to Using Demo Trading
Activate Demo Mode
Go to your dashboard and toggle the demo trading feature. This will allow you to test strategies without using real funds.
Set Your Virtual Budget
In demo mode, you can set your budget with a virtual amount of up to $100,000. This can be adjusted at any time through the Demo Settings.
Test Strategies in Real Market Conditions
Trade using demo mode and see how your bots or filters perform under real market conditions. You’ll receive real-time notifications and performance reports, just like in live trading.

Adjust your bot’s buy and sell conditions based on its performance in the Optimization Section. You can modify conditions based on market behavior, such as volatility, trends, or specific price levels.

Use the advanced settings to implement stop losses, take profits, and trailing stops. Proper risk management is key to maximizing long-term profits.
Analyze Performance Reports
After running your bot, review the detailed performance reports available in the Analytics Dashboard. You can track everything from P&L to maximum drawdown, and adjust your bot accordingly.
